A beath away from New Year's Eve, and I am "working" for updating this photoblog once more. I am fully aware that I am not punctual in updating these pages, which is against my initial intentions. I would apologize by saying that "life is happening" to me daily, thus keeping me away from my goal.
I find a lot of satisfaction while preparing my photoblog, and I want to enjoy every moment of it. A friend said to me when I was complaining that my photoblog is not updated regularly, "You do this because you enjoy it, let it not be another stress factor." Thank you, Nikos, for your support and wise words.
Back to our subject now!
While in Pripyat, our tour guide had this great idea of getting in a building and while doing so, why not going up sixteen (16) floors to enjoy the view? Hell! It was tough, going up 16 storeys without a stop and carrying all my gear! When we reached the top level, we went outside! The view was majestic! Pripyat, Chernobyl, the Forrest!
Below you can see the building that we had to go in and reach the top floor. Sixteen floors tall! It was a challenge for me...
However, the view was more than I could dream of as I never expect to see a town being "eaten" by the forest!
Just a few meters away, there was another tall building. I can hardly imagine how the landscape would be in 10 or even 20 years.
Did I say the view was majestic? Indeed it was...

As the New Year dawns, I hope it is filled with the promises of a brighter tomorrow. Happy New Year! Happy 2020!!!
